Hydroamation with PMC

Hydroamination involves the reduction of an unsaturated carbon-carbon functional group through the addition of a hydrogen and an amine group. The unsaturated group can be either an alkene or an alkyne group as both are susceptible to hydroamination. It is a reaction that can be used to make useful amine products or intermediates. Reactions can also be performed either inter- or intra-molecularly to create complex molecules and heterocyclic compounds.

Hydroamination is most frequently performed catalytically using ruthenium, platinum or iridium metal complexes. Umicore PMC offers a range of active catalysts that can provide high yields to reactions while also offering the ability to reliably select the product regioselectivity.
