Umicore Catalysis Symposium 2019

The inaugural Umicore Catalysis Symposium at the Kimpton Marlowe Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts, united top minds in chemical process R&D. Aimed at exchanging insights on homogeneous catalysis technologies, it highlighted applications in pharmaceuticals and fine chemicals on an industrial scale. Keynote speakers Nobel Laureate Robert Grubbs and esteemed scientist Nilay Hazari sparked great interest, offering profound insights.

Umicore Catalysis Symposium 2023

Its second Umicore Catalysis Symposium was held in San Francisco, CA, attracting around 50 scientists from prominent Bay Area pharmaceutical companies such as Genentech and Gilead, among others. Esteemed speakers like Prof. Neufeldt from Montana State University, James Murray, Kyle Mack of Genentech, Haifeng Yang from Merck & Co., Inc., Achim Link of Solvias, Joshua Dunetz of Gilead, and Prof. Rovis from Columbia University graced the event. Additionally, Umicore's Philip Wheeler highlighted the significance of metal catalysis in sustainable chemical processes.

Umicore Catalysis Symposium 2024

This year, we extend our invitation to Hanau, Hesse, Germany—the heart of Europe and the hub of Umicore's legacy. Following the success of our previous symposiums, including those recently held in the United States, we are thrilled to further our exploration of catalysis in Europe. Seize this chance to interact with leading personalities from industry and academia as they offer their insights and outlooks at the vanguard of catalytic innovation.
