Potential antitumor agent.

Gold(III) complexes normally show promising cytotoxic and antitumor properties. Due to the coordination of multidentate ligands, e.g. ethylenediamine, the stability of the gold(III) complexes are enhanced. Thus, these complexes exhibit sufficient stability under physiological conditions. Their cytotoxic properties could be observed on the representative human ovarian tumor cell line A2780, either resistant or sensitive to cisplatinum.
