Hydrosilylation

Hydrosilylation is the process of forming organosilanes or organosilicones from simple Si-H building blocks. This reaction is highly versatile and can accommodate a variety of unsaturated groups, including carbon, oxygen and nitrogen functional groups. The result is to make a silicon containing molecule that is then a useful chemical intermediate in the formation of various other industrial chemicals.
