We are delighted to unveil our top keynote speakers!

First, join us in welcoming Professor John Hartwig from the University of California, Berkeley. With a focus on discovering and analyzing new reactions catalyzed by transition metal complexes, Professor Hartwig is a trailblazer in the field of catalysis. His contributions to cross-coupling chemistry, hydroaminations, and C-H bond functionalization have revolutionized organic synthesis. His lecture, "Catalytic Functionalization of C-H bonds in Small and Large Molecules with Small and Large Catalysts," promises to be an enlightening exploration of cutting-edge catalytic techniques. Professor Hartwig's groundbreaking work has earned him prestigious accolades, including the ACS Award in Organometallic Chemistry and the Wolf Prize. He was elected to the National Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, solidifying his status as a leader in the field.

We are also thrilled to announce Dr. Marc Mauduit, Directeur de Recherche CNRS at the Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes (ISCR), as our second keynote speaker. Dr. Mauduit brings a wealth of expertise in catalysis research, with a focus on developing innovative methodologies for organic synthesis. His work at CNRS has led to significant advancements in the field, making him a renowned figure in catalysis. Dr. Mauduit will share insights into his latest research and discoveries during his keynote address at UCS. His lecture, “Chiral Cyclic(Alkyl)(Amino)Carbene Ruthenium Complexes: A Novel Opportunity in Asymmetric Olefin Metathesis,” promises to offer valuable perspectives on groundbreaking catalytic processes. With a distinguished career and numerous accolades, including his role as Directeur de Recherche at CNRS, Dr. Mauduit is a leader in catalysis research.

Don't miss this exclusive opportunity to hear from Professor Hartwig, Dr. Mauduit, and other esteemed speakers at UCS. Join us to explore the latest advancements, exchange ideas, and network with fellow researchers, scientists, chemists, and industry leaders in the catalysis community.

Stay tuned for more updates and mark your calendars for an inspiring symposium experience!
